Stournaras meeting with troika again

A Greek Finance ministry official expressed optimism that the government and the troika of the country's lenders would reach an agreement on the capital needs of Greek banks, while Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras began another meeting with the troika on Friday evening.

Stournaras is meeting with the representatives of the troika (European Commission, European Central Bank and the IMF) in negotiations that are expected to continue on Saturday.

According to a high-level official at the ministry, "The International Monetary Fund (IMF) exhibited a willingness to take the Greek stance into account...It appears that the IMF will not use the banks as an alibi to interrupt the review process."
