Crete: Thousands gathered to protest against Syria’s chemical
Thousand demonstrators and representatives of parties were gathered at port of Souda, Crete, on Sunday, March 8, to protest against the deconstruction of Syria's chemical weapons in the Mediterranean.
The protesters were against the processing of Syria's chemical on a ship, which will travel on the Mediterranean Sea between Greece, Italy, Malta and Libya, because there is a high accident risk.
According to the plan, hydrolysis systems aboard the cargo ship Cape Ray are to mix heated water and other chemicals in order to destroy the lethal chemicals.
