83 airplanes have mysteriously disappeared

Bloomberg reports that 83 planes have been lost since 1948, according to the statistical data of the U.S. Bureau of Aviation Safety Network.

The infographic and data published by Bloomberg include aircrafts that could carry more than 14 passengers and never have been found, (no trace of debris or humans).

As you can see at the map Flight 730 of Malaysia Airlines is not the only mystery in aviation history: 83 more planes followed the same tragic path with the missing Boeing of Malaysia Airlines, with 80 of them never been detected (yellow dots on the map).

According to the report, five aircrafts were lost in the famous Bermuda Triangle.

The Douglas DC-3 has disappeared... 19 times.
