Turkey: The army returned fire against Syria
The Turkish artillery retaliated ammunition that came from Syria, hit a mosque in the Turkish territory and wounded a Syrian refugee, while the intensity is still soaring at the border of the two countries, an announced by an official source.
"Fire which came from Syria hit a mosque located in Giailantagi (south of Turkey) and wounded a 60 year old Syrian refugee, who was close to the area" said a spokesman of the local governor of Hatay. "Our artillery retaliated" he added stating that three mortar shells from Syrian territory landed in a deserted area, without causing damages or injuries.
Turkey retaliates often with its artillery against mortar castings from opposing sides in the civil war in Syria. On March 23, the Turkish armed forces shot down a Syrian aircraft claiming that it had violated Turkish airspace.
