Stournaras: Government will table a new economic policy programme

The Greek government will table a new medium-term economic policy programme in Parliament – to be voted by May 5 - which will include the revenues and targets of the Greek economy for the next three years, Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras said on Monday.

Speaking at the Parliament’s Economic Commission, according to ana-mpa Stournaras expressed his satisfaction over an agreement reached by the Greek EU Presidency on MiFID, MiFIR, covering financial markets, a new directive on collective investments on assets, a directive on payment accounts PAD and a regulation promoting transparency on investment products to small investors (PRIIPs).

“During the second half of its Presidency, Greece will focus on promoting significant issues, such as benchmarks, money laundering, long-term financial tools and a directive on payment services,” the Greek FinMin said.
