Azerbaijani Ambassador Mustafayev on TAP project
Recently he completed a tour of the roughly 600-kilometers-long TAP route from the Greek-Albanian to the Greek-Turkish borders, during which he had more than 50 meetings with local authorities in northern Greece. He noted that any localized problems related with the project can be solved through dialogue and underlined that in general the project is seen in a positive way by local communities.
The Azerbaijani ambassador added that TAP now covers only Turkey, Greece, Albania and Italy but its future plans include the Western Balkans through Albania and the Ionic-Adriatic Pipeline, as well as, Eastern and Central Europe under certain preconditions, including, the natural gas production, the attitude of the reception countries and international environment.
