London: Flashback to Christmas of past decades (pics)
London is famous for its magical, colorful and vibrant atmosphere during Christmas!
Every tree, every little corner of the city is decorated with lights and colorful garlands, turning London into the capital of Christmas!
The photographer Peter Macdiarmid, invites us on a journey to the past through his photographs. The talented Macdiarmid combines old and new photos from various corners of the British capital, creating a collage of different times!
Many things have changed today; the traditional turkeys were hanging outside the shops and the suit of Santa Claus was apparently more "poor".
The modern students of London, during the New Years Eve, have fun at super clubs of London and "sing" the melodies of famous British artists, unlike the then students who were gathering in groups and "sing" the festive tunes, spreading the Christmas spirit throughout the city!
Much has changed in London in 2014; one however remains the same, the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square, a gift from the Norwegians, which is decorated each year since 1947, in the crowded square!
