Elections 2015: The staffing of Papandreou’s party
He said that "we go for 6-7%," and expressed his belief that the new party will be the "catalyst of developments", relying on the international media.
As regards the staffing of the new party, the major executives of GAP will be: Ph. Petsalnikos, Mich. Karchimakis, Dim. Reppas, Ch. Pampoukis (who was reactivated after a long time of inactivity), G. Elenopoulos, R. Vartzeli, Th. Moraitis, Ph. Sahinidis, G. Petalotis, S. Kedikoglou, S. Xynidis.
The current Members Th. Moraitis, Ph. Sahinidis and S. Kedikoglou will be candidates in Etoloakarnania, Larissa and Euboea, respectively.
The two other current members, who are expected to support the new party, Messrs. K. Triantafyllos & N. Sifunakis, will not be candidates. Mr. Triantaphyllos have already announced this to Mr. Venizelos.
Also Ph. Petsalnikos is likely to be a candidate on the ballot of State, in non-electable position, while it is unknown if Dim. Reppas will be candidate.
The prefects Ap. Katsifaras and St. Arnaoutakis are about to support the new party.
However GAP and his associates received several denials including the former secretary of PASOK Mariliza xenogiannakopoulou, M. Bolaris, Theodora Tzakri, Chr. Kokkinovasilis and Od. Voudouris.
On the other hand, the associates of GAP refute the information, that his brothers Nick and Andrikos do not aggree with this venture.
Mich. Karchimakis is expected to be candidate in B' Athens, while G. Petalotis might not be a candidate, in order to have time for the media, as the party's spokesperson.
S. Xynidis will be candidate in Xanthi, and it is likely that Gr. Niotis to be a candidate in B' Piraeus.
The former MP Fr. Parassiris, the son of former MP Man. Strataki and the son of the former MP. M. Fragkiadoulakis, will be candidates in Heraklion, Crete.
C. Angelopoulos and Michael Kitros may be candidates in Achaia, the former MP Ag. Tolka and the Ch. Gikonoglou (son of former MP M. Gikonoglou) will be candidates in Imathia, Laconia Anastasia Kanellopoulou and C. Poulokefalos will be candidates in Laconia, the former MP B. Gioumatzidis in Kozani, and Olga Cetine, daughter of former MP, will be candidate in Rodopi.
P. Economou, former MP and minister, and M. Othonas, former MP and minister, are in discussions with GAP, but are not thrilled with this initiative...
