Greek President congratulates European champions in women’s water polo team
Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos welcomed on Thursday (30/04) Olympiacos’ women’s water polo team who won the Euro League trophy on Saturday and congratulated them on their victory.
“Your European shine adds international prestige to the country. And at a time when [the country] it needs it more,” Pavlopoulos told the athletes at the Presidential Mansion, as he offered them a memento with the Presidency’s coat of arms.
The President also spoke individually with the female athletes and asked them about their studies.
