Refugees and migrants flow to Greek islands at low levels
Refugees and migrants΄ flow to the northeastern Greek islands remains low. One hundred and seven 107 arrivals were recorded on Thursday (12/05/2016) on Chios while no arrival was reported on the island of Mytilene.
Seven thousand and seventy eight identified migrants and refugees are currently hosted at the hotspots or stay in other open facilities on the islands of Chios, Mytilene and Samos.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,407 refugees and migrants were at the port of Piraeus on Friday, according to the Greek Coast Guard.
A large number of refugees and migrants was transferred on Thursday from the port to hosting facilities at Eleonas.
Meanwhile, "Ariadni" ferry docked at Piraeus port earlier in the day carrying 33 refugees and migrants from Mytilene.
