Twenty nine migrants and refugees rescued in the sea region of Lefkada
Coast Guard located a boat with twenty nine migrants and refugees, among them two children, that floated adrift in the sea region west of the Ionian island of Lefkada.
The captain, according to testimonies, is member of a human smuggling ring and abandoned the boat leaving it adrift with 29 people on board.
The place where the boat set sail is not yet known, however, according to Lefkada authorities the migrants and refugees destination was the Italian coasts.
