Three candidates in tender for 20 remote airline destinations
The three bidders are Olympic Air, Sky Express and Astra. Greek authorities are expected to open all financial offers in the next few days.
Civil Aviation Authority, however, it is said to have rejected a technical offer by Olympic Air for four destinations (Corfu-Aktio-Cephalonia-Zakynthos, Limnos-Mytilene-Chios-Samos-Rhodes, Rhodes-Karpathos-Kasos and Rhodes-Kos-Kalymnos-Leros-Astypalea).
The 20 remote destinations with the maximun annual subsidy per line (in euros) set by the Civil Aviation Authority are: Athens-Astypalea (650,000), Athens-Leros (1,000,000), Athens-Milos (1,000,000), Athens-Naxos (400,000), Athens-Sitia (500,000), Athens-Kalymnos (600,000), Athens-Skyros (12,000), Athens-Syros (200,000), Athens-Kozani-Kastoria (300,000), Thessaloniki-Corfu (400,000), Thessaloniki-Kalamata (12,000), Thessaloniki-Skyros (12,000), Thessaloniki-Limnos-Ikaria (700,000), Alexandroupoli-Sitia (500,000), Aktio-Sitia (12,000), Corfu-Aktio-Cephalonia-Zakynthos (700,000), Limnos-Mytilene-Chios-Samos-Rhodes (1,000,000), Rhodes-Karpathos-Kasos (1,200,000), Rhodes-Kos-Kalymnos-Leros-Astypalea (700,000) and Rhodes-Kastelorizo (900,000).
