Dijsselbloem says agreement possible before next Eurogroup meeting
Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem on Tuesday (29/11/2016) expressed the hope that a comprehensive agreement with Greece on the second programme review can be achieved by the next Eurogroup meeting on December 5.
Dijsselbloem underlined that Greece has made impressive progress and expressed the hope that all the necessary short-term, medium-term and long-term measures will be taken to ensure the sustainability of the Greek debt.
He also said that Greece needs to proceed with the necessary structural reforms adding that the eurozone members should meet their commitments for a debt relief.
Moreover, the Eurogroup chief said that the aim is for the IMF to continue participating in the Greek programme.
