Tsipras and Vucic meeting focused on their future actions
"We are looking forward to the further strenghtening of the relations between Greece and Serbia which is for us a strategic selection," said Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras after his meeting in Belgrade with his Serbian counterpart Alexander Vucic.
Greece has the very important strategic advantage of its geographic position and may become a strategic transport hub for Europe. On its part, Serbia can become the bridge between western and eastern Europe so our cooperation may be included in a project that will refer to the whole European continent, noted Tsipras.
Despite the railway link, another work that can change the Balkan's geography, it is also the Belgrade-Thessaloniki link via the river Axios and Morava, added the Greek prime minister noting that it would extend if the Juncker programme could finance such a project.
