Rescue operation to locate vessel with migrants south of Cephalonia
Coast Guard vessels are currently searching the sea region south of Cephalonia to locate a vessel with an unknown number of migrants on board.
According to initial information, a passenger called 112 from his mobile phone saying that approximately 50 persons are on an 18m vessel which is experiencing difficulties.
Three coast guard vessels, a Frontex vessel and ships sailing in the region are taking part in the operation.
