According to the sources, the case could be solved in a matter of hours, with police having found compelling evidence regarding the identity of the two Albanian shooters that killed the lawyer. There are still some gaps to be filled, the sources added, regarding the identity of those that instigated the killing.

Five inmates serving heavy sentences in Korydallos prison were transferred to Greek police headquarters on Monday for questioning and later sent back to jail. All the evidence indicates that the inmates were responsible for sending the two shooters to the 52-year old lawyer to put pressure on him to intervene in their dealings with one of his clients, with whom they had 'unfinished business'. The two men are believed to have murdered the lawyer instead, probably during their attempt to intimidate him.
