Photo exhibition on Mount Athos held at the Council of Europe
An exhibition of photos taken on Mount Athos by the Polish photographer Tomasz Mociski was organised by the Permanent Representation of Greece to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
The exhibition, held on January 22-31, impressed the visitors and earned a positive feedback.
Greek Ambassador Stelios Perrakis, in statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, talked about the promotion of Greece's potential in international relations and its capabilities within the political process, underlining the importance of the exhibition and the role of the Council of Europe in the matter of religion.
The exhibition has multiple purposes, he said, adding that it focuses on the spiritual dimension as a counterpoint to a situation that has recently prevailed in the Council of Europe, in which the values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law in constant decline.
