Greeks should be optimistic but not arrogant, says Pavlopoulos
Greeks should be optimistic about their future but avoid arrogance, President Prokopis Pavlopoulos said on Saturday, during an official dinner in Pyrgos, where he as declared an honorary citizen.
“We are a people who ought to be optimistic and dreamers but must not be arrogant, must not believe in Chimeras, but must look at our future with optimism,” he said.
Pavlopoulos also said the global economic crisis has affected the social state and the rule of law in a wider sense and this problem must be tackled.
