"This case (the phone tapping) will be taken to the end because it is a matter of democracy and national security," he added.

He stated that next week, during his visit to the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), he will submit a social democratic programme and ,based on this programme, he will ask the Greek people for a strong mandate. "If the Greek people give it to us, we will immediately have stability, a strong government with a programme, consistency, responsibility, and morals. And not prime ministers who are only interested in the chair or how their children will turn out to be prime ministers," added the leader of PASOK.

He also pointed out that he is asking for a strong mandate as he believes that the country will have much better luck with a prime minister who has European experience, who respects the institutions, who is a deep democrat and has not played with the domestic oligarchy. "This is what I represent," said Androulakis.
