Dense snowfall is forecast on Monday for North and South Aegean Islands, Thrace, the Sporades Islands, Evia, East Central Greece (including Attica), the Cycladic Islands, and Crete.
Elsewhere in Greece, temporarily overcast with sporadic rain or sleet and sparse snowfall on higher elevations, possibly lower also. Northerly winds registering 4 to 5 on the Beaufort scale in the west, and 6-9 in the east and the Aegean. Temperatures at normal seasonal levels, at -05C (23F) to 11C (51.8F), with icy conditions prevailing. In Athens, overcast with sleet and sporadic dense snowfall. Northerly winds registering 5-8 on the Beaufort scale. Temperatures from 01C to 05C (lower in the northern suburbs). In Thessaloniki, overcast, with northwesterly winds registering 5-7 on the Beaufort scale, and temperatures from 00C (zero) to 04C.
