Androulakis: Reinforcing national health system a priority for PASOK-KINAL

Opposition PASOK-KINAL leader Nikos Androulakis repeated that reinforcing the National Health System is a priority for his party, while visiting the Cretan city of Ierapetra on Friday.

Androulakis met with doctors and management at the Ierapetra hospital, who spoke about the problems faced by the hospital. He said that after the pandemic, there was a huge increase in private health spending by the Greek people and that his party wanted to use 10 pct of the funds from the Recovery Fund to create a strong primary health network and provide incentives to specialists of which there was a shortage.

He also promised financial incentives for all healthcare staff and "not just the clapping of the pandemic."
