He repeated that the government's responsibility was to contend with the problems, "which are our great opponent", while he virulently attacked Alexis Tsipras, who recently resigned as head of the main opposition party SYRIZA-PA. Calling Tsipras a "leftist opportunist, an amoral, populist political leader", he criticised Tsipras' legacy, especially the Prespa Agreement, and said that he had served to "end the Left's ideological dominance" and show its ideas to be "destructive, toxic and lead nowhere". He also predicted the main opposition party will now be gripped by an "identity crisis" as it tries to decide which direction to move in next.

Voridis said a finance ministry draft bill that will partially implement the government's election campaign pledges will be a first step in addressing the problems and will be followed by a bill on a code of administrative procedure that will redefine the powers of the secretaries of services.

On relations with Turkiye, Voridis repeated the prime minister's position on this issue, saying that Greece was always open to dialogue provided that its sovereign rights were not in any way threatened or compromised. He criticised the Turkish consulate in Komotini, saying its actions do not help cultimate the climate of trust needed in order for dialogue to proceed.
