PM Mitsotakis visits health ministry
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the health ministry on Tuesday.
"We may even have a decision within the day on an act of legislative content for the use of Fire Department and Armed Forces resources in the field of ambulance service transfers," the prime minister said and added that he will immediately proceed with the staffing of ambulances.
This, he said, was not a substitute for the overall planning for the Emergency Response Ambulance Service (EKAB), as the changes for EKAB will proceed as planned.
He also underlined that he will regularly monitor the progress of the health ministry's work, adding that citizens must immediately see the upgrading health services with the support of the Recovery Fund.
We will all win the health bet together, concluded Mitsotakis.
On his part, Health Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis said that "we have in our hands the blue dossier where the priorities of the health ministry are recorded. "The prime minister gave us clear instructions on what should be done at the health ministry," said the minister and added that the goal is equal access for all citizens to quality health services.
"On our side," Chrysochoidis pointed out, "we have committed ourselves to work hard."
