Man went missing while visiting Chochlakia gorge

A rescue operation to locate a 60-year-old man that went missing on Saturday at noon at Chochlakia gorge on Crete is in progress. His wife, allegedly of Italian descent, called the police and a search and rescue operation was launched immediately.

The operation stopped late at night and resumed early on Sunday. According to the Fire Brigade, the specific gorge has difficulties because it has many paths on which focuses the effort to locate the missing man.
