No active fronts in Rhodes, Corfu and Magnesia
The night passed without particular problems for the residents of Rhodes, Corfu and Magnesia, but this does not mean that there is any complacency. The entire state mechanism remains on high alert as the risk of rekindling has not vanished.
According to the Fire Department, there are no longer any active fronts and any rekindling is dealt with immediately and successfully as strong firefighting forces remain in the areas.
Some fires rekindled in Rhodes on Friday in the areas Vati, Profylia - Gennadi - Lardo, but they were contained immediately.
At the same time, there were also small outbreaks of fires in rural areas of Volos, which were extinguished after the intervention of the ground forces assisted by seven airplanes.
