Narendra Modi says that his visit aims at the deepening of Greece-India's friendship

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi in a post on Twitter on Friday morning said that he had landed to Athens adding that he was looking forward to a productive visit to Greece aiming at the deepening of the friendship between Greece and India. He also said that he would have meetings with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Indian community.

Modi, who will also meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, was welcomed at the airport by Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis.

"Amidst the historic landscapes of Greece, the warmth and hospitality of the Indian community shines brightly. A heartfelt thank you to them for the warm welcome," Modi said.
