Syriza submits request for preliminary investigation committee on Tempi fatal train collision
SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance on Tuesday submitted a request for the setting up of a preliminary investigation committee that will look into the causes of the fatal Tempi train collision that occured in central Greece earlier this year, said party sources.
The main opposition party's request for a relevant parliamentary committee concerns "contract 717/2014, the criminal train collision at Tempi and the death of 57 of our fellow human beings", the party noted.
Syriza added that the European Public Prosecutor's Office had conducted an investigation over an entire year by studying the case file for contract 717/2014, and reached its conclusion that was made known to Parliament on July 7, 2023," it was added.
