Turkish ATR-72 and helicopters enter Athens FIR without submitting flight plans
A Turkish naval cooperation aircraft ATR-72 and 5 Turkish helicopters entered the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting flight plans in the southeastern Aegean region on Monday.
A total of 5 violations of the Athens FIR flight rules were registered.
The Turkish aircraft and helicopters were recognized and intercepted by Greek fighter jets, according to international rules and standard practice.
