Seismologist: The 5,4R earthquake in Hydra was the main
Thanasis Ganas, seismologist of the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens announced that the earthquake of 5,4 R, occurred on Friday night southwest of Hydra island, was the main earthquake.
He said on Mega channel that the earthquake occurred at sea and the focal depth was 110 kilometers. He stressed that there is no reason of concern, adding: «The 5,4R, that seismographs recorded, on Friday night was the main earthquake».
In many regions of Greece, residents felt the "shaking" and according to the official announcement of the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake occurred at 23:08, 29 km southwest of Hydra and 89 km south of Athens.
