Mouzalas: We are doing our best to protect the country and the refugees' dignity
The settlement of the refugees and migrants in decent living conditions will become possible until mid-June, Alternate Migration Policy Minister Yiannis Mouzalas said on Friday (13/05/2016) responding to a question by Communist Party (KKE) deputy Christos Katsotis on the conditions of the refugee hosting facilities at Skaramangas.
"We are facing difficult conditions and we do our best to safeguard the country and those unfortunate people's dignity," said Mouzalas.
Katsotis claimed that there are huge shortages in the services at Skaramangas adding that the centre is exposed to bad weather conditions.
He also said that non-governmental organisation members, domestic and foreign ones, are trying to create the feeling to the refugees that they will leave soon.
Mouzalas called Skaramangas a comparatively good facility adding that the problems can't be solved in one day.
On the non-governmental organisations, Mouzalas stressed that they must make use of the 100,000 euros they have received adding that the Greek parliament should check them on how they spend the money.
