Just 1,465 refugees and migrants arrived in Greece in May, says IOM
The flow of refugees from Turkey to Greece has dropped significantly since April, as a result of the activation of the EU’s deal with Turkey, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said on Friday (03/06/2016).
According to IOM data, just 1,465 refugees and migrants reached the Greek islands in May - much less than the daily arrivals reported in January and February, when 67,417 and 57,066 people arrived respectively. In March, 26,971 refugees arrived to Greece and in April 3,650.
