Registered unemployment down 3.51 pct in May

An announcement by the Workforce Employment Organization (OAED) said that 441,857 registered unemployed people (53.78 pct) were long-term unemployed (more than 12 months).

Registered unemployment was 61.46 among women and 38.54 pct among men. The number of registered unemployed people not seeking job totaled 117,889, down 16.42 pct compared with year.

The number of people receiving unemployment benefit totaled 73,509 in May, down 41.31 pct from April.
