The Prespes Agreement is a historic achievement, Ischinger says
"The Prespes Agreement, which gave an end to a long-term dispute on the name issue, is a historic achievement," Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger, head of the Munich Conference on Security, said to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) in reply to a question regarding the 'Ewald von Kleist' Award.
He also stated that the two prime ministers will be awarded for the Prespes Agreement, which they achieved at a time when stories of diplomatic success are scarce.
According to ANA's sources, the award ceremony will take place on February 16 at an official dinner that Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Soder will offer in honor of the two prime ministers, in the "Munich Residence", the Bavarian government headquarters and official residence of kings and other noblemen from 1508 to 1918, attended by 500 guests, including heads of state and government as well as dozens of ministers from around the world.
