Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras, who is touring the town of Kastoria on Tuesday, urged the locals who traditionally support the New Democracy party to turn to SYRIZA saying that they are also facing the same difficulties and that "the government does not govern for them but for its own interest."

He said that the "injustice is tending to become law and the inequalities normality".

Tsipras walked at the commercial centre and talked with shop owners and consumers and listened to their problems that have to do with the high prices, the energy crisis, the high heating cost and the unemployment.

The main opposition leader said that there should be an immediate plan for Kastoria and for the entire Western Macedonia "because in 2022 we cannot have people who will be helpless in the cold and freezing."

In parallel, he said that the problems that the residents of Kastoria and the entire country are facing is the result of unfair choices.

"They tell us that the hike in prices is imported. Yes, but profiteeering is not imported, it is Greek and unfortunately injustice tends to become law and the inequalities normality."

After the conclusion of his tour to the commercial centre of Kastoria, Tsipras went to the Chamber where he had a meeting wth the local representatives.
