Economou unveils that more arrests will follow

Citizen Protection Minister Yiannis Economou, in an interview with SKAI TV late on Tuesday, spoke about fan violence and the file with the names of the hooligans that he delivered along with Alternate Sports Minister Yiannis Vroutsis to the Supreme Court prosecutor Georgia Adeilini.

"The 200 names of the hooligans that were handed over to the Justice Department was the assessment of the Authorities, based on persons from all groups ... They are not limited to only one group or one color," Eonomou underlined and added: "The names included in the file were based on information we had from police departments. They are people that have concerned the authorities. They are related to criminal behavior in terms of sports violence and conflicts, as well as other criminal behaviors, often with a background of sports violence, but also involved in drugs and weapons cases."

He explained that these are gangs have a hierarchy, a plan and financing, while raising funds from parallel criminal activities.

Referring to the attack on the 31-year-old policeman, who continues to be hospitalized in a critical condition, he stressed that more arrests will be made.
