Mitsotakis: Beleri issue is a matter of respect of the rule of law
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reiterated at the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Brussels Greece's firm position that the issue of the elected mayor of Himare Fredi Beleri and his right to a fair trial is not a bilateral issue between Greece and Albania, but a matter of respect of the rule of law, which is the crown of the accession process.
The prime minister reiterated Greece's sincere willingness to resolve this issue, underlining that our country was and remains one of the pioneers of the Western Balkans' accession perspective.
