Free beaches in Attica

The coastline of Attica is filled with sandy beaches under private management, but also with municipal beaches, always with the appropriate fee.
But if you are one of those that you do not have 10 euro which you ought to give in order to dive into the sea, do not be disappointed, there is a solution! Fortunately, Attica has many beaches that are still free ... and partly untapped!
There are no tickets and any sun bed is free of charge!

Limanakia Vouliagmeni

About 20 km from the center of Athens, are located the known Limanakia in Vouliagmeni. Limanakia, as the name indicates, are many small beaches, with small coves and cliffs, which are not organized, but very clean with deep and cool water.

Legraina
Also called KAPE, close to Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, is famous for the very clean water. Right and left you can find small beaches for most private moments

Erotospilia-Porto Rafti

Paradise on earth for every legal and illegal couple! It is a small, sandy beach, within a small cove one km from Porto Rafti. In the beach there is a gazebo with iced drinks, refreshments and snacks.

Beach Zouberi-Nea Makri
Just 1 km south of the center of Nea Makri, is the beach Zouberi, featuring beach-volley court, beach bar, and water sports, including scuba diving.

Edem P.Faliro
It is one of the few areas in Faliro where you can go swimming without paying and enjoy a very beautiful beach.

Glyfada
Although it is very close to the busiest suburbs of Athens, the beach looks relatively deserted compared to others that are just a few hundred meters away.

Galazia Akti
It is located at the 37th kilometer of the highway Sounion. It is a small but very charming beach with fine sand. In Galazia Akti you will not find special facilities for visitors.

Mavro Lithari

It took its name from the black rock on the left side and is located at the 46th km of the highway Sounion in the Saronidas. The beach has organized facilities for those who want sun loungers and parasols, but plenty of space for the rest.

Chamolia Vravrona

It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Attica, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. If you visit it you will not believe that Athens is a few kilometers away. For more privacy, there are several small bays, left of the main beach, ideal for agoraphobic!

Mati - Agios Andreas - Kokkino Limanaki
Popular for decades Kokkino Limanaki is a fixed value for those who do not choose the organized beaches. In the inner road between Rafina to Nea Makri there are beautiful beaches in Mati and Agios Andreas.
