Mitsotakis met with local government authorities and members of his party New Democracy, and spoke of the state of Greece now compared to 2019, with his party "having guided Greece safely through very turbulent waters."

Despite the energy costs resulting from the Ukraine war, "we have the fiscal ability to support households and businesses in energy bills, and our more vulnerable compatriots at Christmas time," he said, announcing an extraordinary bonus for them and reiterating the rise in pensions as of 2023.

In terms of Pella, which he highlighted as a major production region, he said the government was committed to doing two large projects: the road link of Edessa and Thessaloniki, and the dam of Almopeos River. A concessionaire for the road project is scheduled to be chosen by the third quarter of 2023, Mitsotakis said, while the tender for the Almopeos dam - "the second largest irrigation project in Greece" with a capacity of 35.5 cubic meters to irrigate 12,044 hectares - is ready to be announced soon in two parts (reservoir and irrigation network).

Several ministers and local mayors were present at the meetings, including party officials.
