FM Dendias: Greece is working for something essential for its national survival
"Greece is working for something absolutely essential for our national survival: so that there prevails in the international community a narrative for the protection of the independence and territorial integrity of all countries," Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said in a statement on Tuesday, after the conclusion of the EU Solidarity with Ukraine conference.
Greece strives to avoid any war, any threat of war, any revisionism. And for the international community to always have an obligation to stand by those threatened by larger neighbours who do not respect international law," the minister added.
Dendias represented the Greek government and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Conference organised by French President Emmanuel Macron.
"I stated my views on all that Greece is offering but also on the areas of special interest for Greece, such as Odessa, Mariupol, Zaporizhzhia or Kherson. Greece supports Ukraine, as do all its western friends and allies," Dendias said.
