Weather forecast: Mixed fair/rainy, cooler on Sunday

Overcast with sporadic rains and thunderstorms in eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese is forecast at the start of the day on Sunday. Elsewhere on the mainland, western regions, the Cyclades islands and Crete overcast with brief rain spells, but phenomena will intensify as of the evening hours over the Ionian Sea region, western mainland areas, western Peloponnese, and also in western and central Macedonia.

West-northwesterly winds registering 4-5 on the Beaufort scale, to reach 6 in the Ionian Sea. Temperatures will drop, and range between 20C and 22C in central regions and southern areas, and 23C to 24C in southern island regions.

In Athens, overcast with variable winds registering 3-4 on the Beaufort scale and temperatures from 15C to 23C. In Thessaloniki, fair to start with but developing into sporadic rains and thunderstorms, with variable winds registering 4-5 on the Beaufort scale and temperatures from 14C to 20C.
