Services to citizens will soon be available for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in all languages through Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deputy Minister of Digital Governance Konstantinos Kyranakis pointed out on Monday.

More specifically, the integration of AI-powered chatbots will give citizens the chance to ask questions and receive answers, solving their queries on a series of issues, including their rights under the law.

"Greece is expected to be, if not the first, one of the first EU member states to offer citizens the chance to talk with the government via artificial intelligence," Kyranakis underlined.

"The participation of citizens in this new mechanism will give much better results in a short time," he added.

More details about the service will be available next week.

Regarding the postal vote, he noted that it is a system expected to increase participation in the elections, to facilitate mainly people who are either abroad or work on a seasonal basis away from their electoral district or people who have mobility problems, disabilities and generally people who, for some reason, they cannot come to the polls.
