PASOK leader Androulakis proposes two measures to assist poor, lower energy consumption at TIF
The opposition PASOK-KINAL party is pushing for two measures to support and protect Greece's less prosperous households and to provide real incentives for lower energy consumption, PASOK-KINAL leader Nikos Androulakis announced at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) on Friday.
The first is to provide free access to public transport during the winter for those on lower incomes, in line with similar initiatives adopted in other European countries, and generous tax incentives for those that take steps to save energy in their homes, such as tax breaks and lower VAT for installing a solar water heater.
