ASE ends 2022 with annual gain of 4.08%

Τhe Athens Stock Exchange ended 2022 with an annual gain of 4.08%, overcoming difficulties that pushed other international markets to significant losses.

The general index of the market ended the last trading session of the week 0.97% higher at 929.79 points. Turnover was 61.703 million euros of which 29.2 million were a block trade in GEK Terna. The Large Cap index ended the year with a 4.78% gain, while the Mid Cap index advanced 5.39%. The Bank index ended 2022 with an 11.42% increase.

Euroxx (240.30%), ANEK (153.89%), Yalco (130%) and Attica Holdings (118.96%) scored the biggest percentage gains in 2022, while Lavipharm (-76.48%), VIS (-62%), Varvaresos (-60.87%), Attica Bank (-56.74%) and Frigoglass (-51.99%) suffered heavy losses.

Among blue chip stocks, Motor Oil (58.69%), Terna Energy (50.52%), Ellaktor (34.72%), Mytilineos (33.38%) and National Bank (27.80%) were top gainers, while PPC (-30.32%), IPTO (-29.52%), Sarantis (-26.40%), Coca Cola HBC (-25.31%) and Quest Hodlings (-24.44%) were top losers in 2022.
