Tuesday's tremor on Lesvos most likely an aftershock
The 4.8-Richter tremor that shook the island of Lesvos on Tuesday is most likely an aftershock following the recent earthquake there, the head of the Geodynamic Institute, Professor Akis Tselentis, said in a statement to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.

He also noted, however, that there was not yet a high degree of confidence as the relevant data had not yet been collected and this would need some time, pointing out that Lesvos was traversed by the large rift of Agia Paraskevi "and we must be cautious".
