Turkish drone violates Greek air space over Central Aegean islets
A Turkish Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) entered the Athens Flight Information Region without submitting flight plans at 15:05 on Monday and then proceeded to violate Greek air space, flying over the islands of Kalogeri in the Central Aegean at 19,000 feet, the Hellenic National Defence General Staff announced.
Kalogeri lie 26 nautical miles northeast of the Andros promontory of Kabanos, and 24nm southwest of Antipsara.
The drone was recognised and intercepted in accordance with international rules and standard practice.
