The party's priority is to support young people and guarantee an inclusive society, PASOK-Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Nikos Androulakis said in the Athens area on Friday.

At the National Confederation of People with Disabilities offices in Ilioupoli, Androulakis spoke of PASOK's historical commitment to the movement for the disabled, but said that "unfortunately Greece has a long way to go to reach Western standards in terms of an inclusive society, services, and support."

He noted that PASOK-KINAL's program included high tax reductions on incomes of the disabled (over 67%) and a new rise in disability bonuses and disability pensions. "These can be implemented immediately, because their fiscal cost is low," he said, adding that he agreed with ruling New Democracy proposals that all parties' policy programs be assessed officially for costs. Submitting such a plan to the Parliament's Budget Office would help citizens "understand that all of these can be implemented," he stressed.
