Survivors from the migrant boat shipwreck off Pylos to be taken to Malakasa reception facility

The 104 people rescued after a migrant boat capsized off the coast of Pylos will be taken to a migrant reception facility in Malakasa on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, as soon as the Kalamata Coast Guard concludes the necessary procedures, a Migration and Asylum Ministry announcement said on Thursday.

The transfer will be organised by the ministry, with leased coaches to transport the survivors to the Malakasa facility, where preparations for their reception are already complete as the specific facility was chosen from the very start.
