Finance Minister Staikouras to attend Eurogroup and Ecofin meetings in Brussels
Finance Minister Christos Staikouras will depart for Brussels on Monday to attend the Eurogroup and Ecofin meetings. Staikouras will take part in the Euro area finance ministers' meeting on Monday to discuss the recent developments in the energy markets, the Eurozone labour markets and the macroeconomic and financial sectors.
According to the agenda for the meeting, the head of the EU's Agency for Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) Christian Zinglersen will brief the minister on recent developments and there will be an assessment of future challenges for fiscal policy.
On Tuesday, the Greek finance minister will represent Greece at the ECOFIN meeting, which will discuss the economic and fiscal impact of the war in Ukraine.
