May 21 is a referendum on political stability for the country, Pierrakakis says
"For us, May 21 is a referendum on political stability for the country," Minister of Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis said in an interview with ANT1 on Wednesday.
Commenting on the possibility of a high rate of abstention in the polls, he said that "there must be a call for democratic participation of people in the polls, abstention is not a solution and all parties and each of us should be able to contribute to maximizing participation."
"I consider that simple proportional representation creates a political risk, it is a problem for the country's stability, which is an essential condition for the country to move forward and escape from the outstanding issues," the minister added.
Speaking about the election results, he said that "the process is completely digitised, now all judicial representatives will have tablets, we will have 25% of the results in by 20:00 and 80% at 21:00."
