Dendias in Tunisia on Saturday for OIF Summit
Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will attend the 18th Summit of the International Francophonie Organisation (OIF) that is taking place on Saturday in Tunisia, representing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will attend the 18th Summit of the International Francophonie Organisation (OIF) that is taking place on Saturday in Tunisia, representing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Particularly, Dendias will take part in a panel entitled "The Francophonie of the Future", as well as in the election of a new secretary general, a foreign ministry announcement said.
The strategic framework of OIF for the period 2023-2030 is expected to be adopted at the Summit.
Greece has been a full member of OIF since 2006. Dendias met with Francophonie Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo in Athens in July 2020 during her visit to Greece.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Dendias is expected to meet with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović.
